Kayla Pape

Kayla Pape, LPC, Kayla earned a graduate degree from Adler University and is currently working on a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. She teaches kids how to adapt, cope, and manage symptoms. She knows not everyone responds to every approach or intervention, so she’s flexible in her sessions and focuses on finding the best treatment plan for results. Kayla supports both children and adults, but she especially enjoys play and art therapy for kids 3 to 12 years old. She provides treatment for anxiety, behavioral issues, attention issues, trauma, grief, and more. In therapy, Kayla does not treat clients like they are broken and need to be fixed. Kayla likes to incorporate art and play therapy as a tool to build trust. She focuses on adaptive styles of coping and symptom management and teaches clients what to do when feeling their feelings.

Kayla has experience in community mental health and worked in both inpatient and mandated settings providing DUI, substance use, parenting, and anger management therapy. She can treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, ODD, DMDD, trauma and many behavioral issues. Kayla is also EMDR trained.
